All that you've been fighting for, I feel it now.

about

In summer 2016, I traveled throughout Luzon and Visayas with the Kapit Bisig Kabataan Network (KBKN) to learn about the social and economic conditions of the Philippines by integrating with farmer, fisherfolk, and indigenous communities. Their livelihood is largely affected by mass land grabbing and militarization of communities, which are issues rooted in U.S's presence in Philippines, a semi-feudal social system, and bureaucratic capitalism.

Both songs incorporate field recordings during my trip.
1. Central Luzon: Sounds of children laughing. The children are from the Aeta community, an indigenous community based in Tarlac, who faced military occupation of their lands.
2. Calbiga, Samar: Sounds of farmers preparing and sifting through their harvested rice.
